Wahoo

For the most part wahoo are solitary fish. They do school up .. when found around floating debris. Trolling for Wahoo out of the Palm Beach Inlet can be hit or miss year round. The best time of the year to target Wahoo would be monthly around a full moon. We deep troll split tail mullet and double hooked bonito strips with flashy lures in front. There is no doubt when a wahoo strikes. On the bite they usually tear a tremendous amount of line off the real and their head shakes bounce the rod like no other fish.  Your job is to real as fast of possible because they change direction and charge the boat. They make both excellent table fair and look spectacular as a fish mount.
